Read on to learn how to schedule online therapy outside of California.
The following states allow our Licensed Partner Therapists and Licensed Staff Therapists to provide telehealth (online therapy, also sometimes called telemental health) to clients located in their state either for a limited number of days in a calendar year or by registering with their board. The limitations are listed next to each state.
- Alabama – 15 days in a calendar year / 5 days in any given month
- Arizona – 90 days in any one calendar year
- Colorado – 20 days
- Florida – required board registration
During the proclaimed federal State of Emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our Licensed Partner Therapists and Licensed Staff Therapists are also able to provide telehealth to clients in the following states until the Federal State of Emergency is lifted.
- D.C. (only for previously established clients)
- New Jersey*
- Rhode Island*
*State requires that your therapist first obtain permission from their board governing therapists to be able to treat clients in their state, which can lead to a delay in treatment.
