If you’re not in California, you may want to consider Coaching instead of Therapy. Learn the differences: Coaching vs. Therapy.
The following states have allowed our Licensed Partner Therapists and Licensed Staff Therapists to provide telehealth (online therapy, also sometimes called telemental health or teletherapy) to clients located in their state either for a limited number of days in a calendar year or by registering with their board. The limitations are listed next to each state.
- Alabama – 15 days in a calendar year / 5 days in any given month
- Arizona – not more than 90 days in any one calendar year
- Florida – required board registration and then no more than 15 days in any calendar year
During the proclaimed federal State of Emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our Licensed Partner Therapists and Licensed Staff Therapists have also been able to provide telehealth to clients in the following states. Originally, this was to be until the Federal State of Emergency was lifted.
- D.C. (only for previously established clients)
- New Jersey*
- Rhode Island*
*State requires that your therapist first obtain permission from their board governing therapists to be able to treat clients in their state, which can lead to a delay in treatment.
