BIO

I joined the field of social work 15 years ago with the desire to support and uplift people through challenging times in life.

My passion lies in giving a voice to current and former foster youth. As an LCSW, I feel passionate about the family unit, proper treatment and diagnosis for children and youth, aging, life transitions, and trauma. I have always had a passion for and interest in people. The human experience is complex, I am honored to help you navigate life’s challenges and support you in celebrating life’s successes.

Clinical Experience

I started my career in group homes and as a foster care social worker. For the past 8 years, I have been working in specialty community mental health working with individuals and families ages 5 to 55 and have been in private practice since 2022.

Purpose of Therapy

Therapy can help increase life satisfaction, strengthen relationships with others and self, beliefs, and a safe place to process feelings in order to support you in living the life you want to live.

My Role as Your Therapist

I am here to empower you to live the life you want to live. We all have a story. I am here to support you in re-writing any pieces of your story that you identify as problematic. You are the expert of your life and I support you in identifying areas of your life that you feel need to be changed.

My Therapy Approach

I work from a strengths-based perspective, meaning I help you to identify and build from strengths you already have. As your therapist, it is my goal to work myself out of a job. I work to empower you to use what you learn to take control of your life in order to feel satisfaction and joy in the life you are living.

Frequency of Therapy

We will start with an assessment to identify treatment needs and goals. From there, we will meet at a frequency that is clinically appropriate to meet your therapeutic goals. Typically, we will meet weekly in the beginning and then titrate as you make progress towards treatment goals.

Duration of Therapy

The duration of therapy is determined by the level of need. Therapy will end when you are back to baseline and have the tools you need to continue navigating life’s challenges.
